An exclusive VIP lounge area within the Clink Performing Arts Club, required to be a separate entity, yet convey a visual link to the existing area. The existing space comprised of a sub-floor basement with limestone block work to all wall faces. The design sought to place a striking visual emphasis upon the ceiling treatment, to ensure that the existing materials would be preserved and that a unique contrast between old and new materials would be perceived by all patrons whom frequented the room.

The naming device “electro lounge” is echoed through the rooms main design feature a seven metre long expressionist lounge. This expressionist piece seeks inspiration from the form of a “jesters hat” providing a teasingly visual piece.
