Seeking Inspiration from Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Pavilion, the design of this home was conceived as a series of overlapping extended roof planes gently positioned over two stepped pavilions which resolve themselves over the extreme land fall of the site.
Located in Applecross’s iconic street of Fraser Rd, the 3 level home has been designed to open up to the rear with living spaces and northern light attaining magnificent views of the City skyline and the Swan River. The plan is punctuated with a series of water features and secret gardens which connect the building to the site. The architecture expresses itself with a timeless modern classic material palette using spilt stone travertine, glass and thin blade louvres.
