Set on the resort island of Ko Samui in the Gulf of Thailand, this design concept for an 80 lot subdivision comprises of a series of individually custom designed multi-million dollar luxury residences complete with individual boat pens and two- ten storey apartment towers centred on a man-made marina. Inspired by the international resort “pavilion” movement, these residences are unsurpassed in terms of design and luxurious levels of amenity, featuring intimate spaces centred on internal reflection ponds, with private dunk pools access to spas, cabanas and terraces.
The restrained tropical contemporary pallet of materials with deep verandah like overhangs orchestrated in the form of planar cantilevered concrete roofs, retractable door systems with invisible barriers inside and out, open internal courtyards, coconut timber finishes to built in furniture, in-situ terrazzo floors, substantiate this clever design fusion of east meets west.
